My Savior My God

Music is a very powerful thing. It can give us comfort, calm our spirit, pump us up and give us energy, make us excited, and set a particular mood we are wishing to create. Music is very powerful.

Below is one of my favorite songs that is powerful. I can listen to it over and over and never get tired of it. It reminds me of truth when I need a reminder, it can provide comforts me when I need to be comforted, and it puts my focus back on God when I’m starting to look away.

I pray that this song does for your heart and mind at least a portion of what it does for mine. May God use this song…which is rich with biblical truth…in your life today, in whatever way you are in need of it.

My Savior My God by Aaron Shust

I am not skilled to understand,
what God has willed, what God has planned.
I only know at his right hand,
stands one who is my savior.
I take him at his word and read,
Christ died to save me, this I read.
And in my heart I find a need,
of Him to be my savior.
That he would leave his place on high,
and come for sinful men to die.
You count it strange…so once did I,
before I knew my savior.

My savior loves
My savior lives
My savior’s always there for me
My God he was
My God he is
My God is always gonna be

Yes, living, dying, let me bring,
my strength, my solace from this spring.
That He who lives to be my King,
once died to be my Savior.
That He would leave His place on high,
and come for sinful man to die
You count it strange…so once did I,
before I knew my Savior

My savior loves
My savior lives
My savior’s always there for me
My God he was
My God he is
My God is always gonna be
