Scripture is so amazing! More and more I am finding my strength, hope, and peace from God’s Word. The more I set aside time to read and reflect on God’s Word, the more I want time to spend reading and reflecting on God’s Word. It is truly “living and active” (Hebrews 4:12).
This morning a passage from Psalm 96 really stuck out to me, challenged me, and spoke to me. I pray it speaks to you as well.
Verses 4-9 of Psalm 96 says…
For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols,
but the Lord made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength!
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
bring an offering, and come into his courts!
Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness;
tremble before him, all the earth!
